Using professional-grade acrylics and traditional sailmakers’ materials — stitching, reinforcement patches, thread, hardware — the painting evolves in dialogue with the fabric’s past. Seams become compositional lines. Eyelets anchor the rhythm of the work. Areas of wear catch pigment in unexpected ways, creating depth that cannot be manufactured.

Our CV25 artwork repersents the call sign from the prestigious Clipper Round the World Race 2023–2024. These sails circled the globe, weathered storms, and carried a determined international crew from Team Zhuhai, fresh from the across 42,723 miles and six continents. Every mark — from salt stains and tension lines to reinforced seams and hand-sewn repairs — remains visible as part of the artwork’s history.
